Meet the Owner
Marnie Cuthbert
When I was 15 years old, my grandfather gave me a beautiful teacup and saucer for my birthday. I fell in love with fine bone china.
Since then, I have collected many pieces of china and teacups. My collection became enough that I could host TEA PARTIES for friends and events like Retirement and Bridal parties.
I found that I loved entertaining. I have spent over 30 years in service to people in various ways. I love to see a smile on someone’s face when you do something that makes them feel special. It’s all the reward I need.
About Crafty Corner
Once I decided to leave the hospital system where I worked for 15 years, I started my journey to living my dream. I came up with a couple names for a tea room, and polled friends and family. The name Crafty Corner Tea Room was born. The Crafty part stems from my love of crafting and making things.
I wanted to share that love with my customers so we’ll be doing Crafternoons on Saturdays, and hosting Vendors who make wonderful things people might want to purchase. The Corner is because I wanted it to be COZY. Like a big comfy chair in a corner with a cup of tea and a good book.
The Tea Room speaks for itself. I love a good tea sandwich and a yummy cup of Earl Grey tea. I look forward to sharing these with you!

Marnie and her Mom
Marnie’s mom, Marilyn has been a huge inspiration for her throughout her life…
She has been very involved with the planning and opening of Crafty Corner Tea Room, attending the Toronto Tea Festival, picking out items for the Tea Room and so much more.
Come by and meet Marilyn as she will be working in the Tea Room!
